Overview
A school campus was repainted inside a fixed summer window. Classrooms, corridors and the gym were completed in sequence, with lockers, doors and frames refinished and the exterior trim renewed.
The challenge
The calendar could not move: every room had to be finished, cured and cleaned before staff returned. Corridors and lockers showed heavy wear, and some masonry trim had efflorescence.
The solution
Planning started well ahead of the break, with rooms sequenced so cleaning crews could follow behind. Corridors received a hard-wearing finish, lockers were cleaned and recoated, and efflorescence was removed and the masonry allowed to dry before a breathable coating went on.
