Overview
A tilt-up distribution warehouse had its exterior panels repainted and its dock area refreshed while trucks kept loading. Inside, columns and column guards were recoated aisle by aisle around the racking.
The challenge
Loading never stopped, so lifts and work zones had to move with the operation instead of halting it. The panels had chalked heavily, and the dock doors and bollards were scuffed and rusting at impact points.
The solution
Panels were pressure washed and tested for chalk before an acrylic system went on, working one dock bay at a time with the yard team. Bollards and guards were cleaned to SSPC-SP 3 and finished in a high-build safety yellow; interior work followed the racking schedule aisle by aisle.
